Nokia Windows Phones

Looking forward to seeing the first Nokia Windows Phones

Apparently the first will be here by the end of this year.......and released in Europe first , according to a Nokia BigWig

We said that Palm's WebOS wasn't going to be the greatest....certainly not for a Tablet.....

....and the seems to be borne out here

Symbian (not) in the US

Symbian smartphones were never great sellers in the good old US of A.

Th Register reports that sales of the Nokia staple OS has fallen to ....err....0.2% of the US market

Developer interest in mobile platforms

Interesting to see the article on ZD regarding the developer's view of the mobile platforms available. I think the WP7 figure is quite creditable. Obviously iOS is still top dog in this rewpect - I'd be very concerned if I were RIM .

Windows Phone 7 (no) database update

So, no database integration is coming in the update that Microsoft is launching "soon"

I wonder whether we'll get one in the major update which wil come "later in 2011"
